PORTRAIT! Robert & Emily

A lot of people say to me, “I want you to take my photo.  I have to find someone to marry first.”

To which I reply, “No you don’t.  Everyone needs a photograph of themselves.”

I just recently found a photograph of myself with the Michael Jordan basketball I got for Christmas one year.  The memories flooded back instantly.  I remember that Mom sent us all back to bed because we were grumpy for some reason that one Christmas morning.  It’s the only time Mom has kept us from opening our presents at 6am (now it’s by choice that we don’t open our presents at that time).

My point is this… that was a marker for me.

A lot of people come to DC for a short period of time to work in Government, non-profits, or internships.  The average stay for someone at my church is 2 years.  For me, DC is the place where I’ve grown up and become my own man, a business owner, and in a couple months, a husband.

I can’t wait to show my children the photographs that were taken of me here in DC.  Wherever state or country, I am in, I will instantly be taken back to Washington DC with the photos of my long hair and my first handle bar mustache.

There are the photographs in the alley Joanna and I had our first kiss (taken by my brother and sister-in-law at Kellan Studios!)

These are memories I want to keep as a marker.

Maybe you just cut your hair or you’ve gotten in really great shape or maybe you just want to remember that year or two you spent living in Washington DC.  With a portrait session with SNAP! you’ll get a two hour photo session along with a disc of hi-resolution photos.

If you want to schedule a session, shoot me an email on the contact page and put somewhere in your message JUST BECAUSE!

Robert and Emily now have photographs to remember their time dating between DC and North Carolina.  They’ll also probably remember how cold it was.  I was freezing and I was dressed appropriately!
