What people are saying about SNAP!

“I have to tell you we got SO many compliments about our wedding pictures on your site. They look absolutely fantastic. I think one of my friends actually said “Those were the best wedding pictures I’ve ever seen, EVER”. You did an awesome job, I can’t wait to see the rest of them!” – Charlene & Charles

“Takes fantastic pictures and a swell guy to boot, my brother and his fiancée liked the pictures so much they’re booking him for their wedding!” – Corey & Andy

“Joe is an excellent photographer. We really enjoyed working with him for our engagement and wedding pictures. He has a keen eye for great photo shots.” – Kristin & Aaron

“Snap! makes us feel so comfortable and is perfect at bringing out our personality! We love it!” – Jessie & Jacob

“We couldn’t have been happier with Joe as our wedding photographer. His style focuses more on candids and “action” shots rather than posed pictures - exactly what we wanted. For the price, we got much more with our photo package than we would have with other photographers we considered. I’d highly recommend Joe for your wedding or other event.” – Emily & Bryan (photographed in 2007)

“Joe is creative, fun and thorough! We had so many amazing pictures to choose from! Joe traveled from D.C. to Indy to shoot our wedding; his creative touch was what we wanted in a photographer, and we were not disappointed!” – Gerri & Doug (photographed in 2008)

The SNAP! Story

I never thought I would be a photographer today.  I was planning on being in radio for my career.  I decided that when I was in 11th grade and got to be on the radio one Saturday night.  I fell in love with every aspect of radio.  Radio is a funny thing.  Once it gets in your blood, you can’t get it out.

My career took me to XM Radio in Washington DC and I loved every minute of my time there.  Working alongside legends in the FM world and mingling with rockstars on a weekly basis was definitely my idea of a dream job!

I always loved taking photos.  Whenever I got the chance to use someone’s camera, I would and I loved composing shots.  It wasn’t until college that I took a class to learn more about cameras and how to take photographs.  I only wish I had paid better attention.

What did get my attention was my camera stolen when someone stole my car a few months after I moved to DC.

It was then that digital cameras were getting more exposure so I saved up my money and bought my first digital camera.  That was the beginning.

People started asking me to take photos for them.

It was a tough and easy decision to leave radio to pursue photography.  On one hand I wanted to continue doing the work I was doing but then there was this adventure of starting my own business and creating something from the ground up.  It took me 10 months to come to that decision and SNAP! was born.

It’s that step of faith that has driven my photographic style.  I want the photos I take to be fun and exciting.  I love being able to capture the adventure that couples are taking when they present their vows to one another and I love a good dance face!
