The last two nights I photographed a really cool event at The Royal Danish Embassy. There were a ton of people there both nights and getting through the masses proved to be difficult, especially those moments I had to be in two places at once. Take a picture in one room, run to the other.
I decided just before I left the event to walk through to show you what I have to do to get through crowds of people quickly with camera equipment.

I love seeing final products. So often I shoot events and other portraiture but I don’t always get the chance to see HOW the photos were used. I don’t always get to see my photos hanging in a bride and groom’s home or in an album they put together.
I’ve started to ask clients to send me instances of how they used the photographs I’ve taken.
Scott and Amy Herbert sent me a website a few minutes ago that I provided photographs for. They were the brains behind the branding and interior design of Seventh Hill Pizza in Eastern Market. If you’re in need of interior design or design work, Scott and Amy are the ones to call. They’ve also designed the interior of Peregrine Espresso just a few doors down from Seventh Hill.
I’m particularly fond of the photo at the top. I actually stuck my camera in their 600 degree oven. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. All for the sake of a creative photo I guess. And I wonder why things like this happen.
It’s so awesome when a couple gets the chance to have their photo taken at a place that means so much to them in their relationship. For example, Laura and Matt had their third date and ended up on these rocks talking for over an hour and it was here, on these rocks, that they knew they really liked each other and would be together.

Please join me and other extremely talented artists as we raise money for IC.
Here is my submission for the show, a 6×9 print on metallic paper. It’s mounted in an 11×14 frame and looks absolutely gorgeous if I may say so myself.
See you there!

I photographed two very cute 2 and a half year old twins today. Their names are Maddy and Jake. They didn’t want to be in too many photos together so I snapped a couple individual shots.
