Melissa & Nick

My assistant, Steve and I headed down to Ocala, Fl this past weekend to shoot the wedding of Melissa & Nick.
Nick was our roommate for the last 10 months or so and is also the 5th guy in the last 3 years to marry out of our house.
Melissa helped Steve with Younglife skits as two-thirds the DJ crew Snap, Crackle, & Pop. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of that so you’ll have to imagine what they would look like doing that in front of a bunch of kids from Washington DC.
Washington DC has been lucky to have a pretty mild summer. It was still hot just not as muggy as in year’s past. So when we arrived at the other swamp, we were not ready for the humidity. It was so humid that we had to let our lenses defog when we stepped from the AC into the sauna that was Ocala this weekend.
It was Melissa’s dream wedding! She said it multiple times, “this is just how I pictured it. It’s perfect!” She was in heaven as Nick recited his vows and she rocked it when she sang a special song to Nick at the reception.
The rain held off and the day was long as Nick and Melissa made their way over top of hurricane Gustav and to Cancun. Hope you guys have a great honeymoon! Nick is especially excited about the bars you have to swim out to. We only know that because he forgot his swim trunks and we had to run to mall and get him some swim trunks.
