Paralyzed Veterans of America Celebrity Poker Tournament
I’m not much of a poker player (I enjoy playing the demo poker game on my cell phone), but after shooting this benefit Celebrity Poker Tournament for the Paralyzed Veteran’s of America, I could give playing some serious thought.
What a great event the Paralyzed Veteran’s of America put on! The evening started off with some delicious appetizers and was followed by a few words from Poker Pro, Mike Sexton, and Kenna James sang the National Anthem. After that, there was poker. A lot of poker.
When you’re in contact with celebrities a lot or if you’re a big US Weekly reader, you realize that they are just people like you and me. No matter how many celebrities you meet, there are still those people that just leave you star struck. Believe it or not, Richard Petty was one of those people. His nickname suits him. He is the King! but he’s humble and was always gracious to give autographs and take pictures with the poker players.
Besides the King, Mike Sexton, and Kenna James, Andy Bloch played his way to the final table, along with Alaska Senator, Mark Begich. Besides an Intern for Poker Players Alliance winning the tournament, Senator Begich had the highlight of the night knocking Andy Bloch out of the tournament on the river with Trips 4. (i know… it made no sense to me either until the other night)
You can read more about the tournament on the PVA website.

Hey ! I’ think I will follow you … I already saw something like that.
