We were shooting Meryl and Mike’s wedding photos this afternoon and while we were taking some photos at the WWII Memorial, a girl and a guy started taking photos behind us with the Lincoln Memorial and the wedding party in the background. Among the blue jean shorts and fanny packed tourists, these two were too fashionable to be one of the “tea baggers” or from the Washington DC area.
Joanna went over and asked if the girl was working on a model portfolio but she told Joanna she was an artist. After Joanna gave them to directions to the White House, she realized she was talking to Perez Hilton so she asked them if they would jump in the photo as they had become a hit with the wedding party.
Luckily Pedro the pug was with us and gave Perez a big kiss!
Thanks Perez for jumping in the photo! We hope you’re enjoying DC!

Saturday, Kacey and Cameron tied the knot. Not literally, but they did exchange very beautiful vows and became husband and wife.
I met Cameron and Kacey several years apart. I met Cameron when I first started attending National Community Church in 2004 and Kacey and I became friends during my transition to become a full time photographer. Kacey was a big influence in taking that step to photographer. Needless to say, I was happy to return the favor by shooting the happiest day of her life!
Cameron has a love for the people of India so it was fitting when “Jai Ho” played as they were announced and they broke it down! In fact, the song was played three times because the party loved dancing to it!
After the wedding, my awesome wife, Joanna, and I drove to Philadelphia with Kacey and Cameron and shot a DAY ONE! Session with them. I’ll post those tomorrow. For now, be sure to sign up to see all the photos when they are online at Pictage.
